Sweet Psalms Ministry

Long before Sweet Psalms Ministry had a name, it had a foundation. That foundation was built through prayer.

As a child, I listened to my father pray. I watched him disciple others, trust God, and believe that heaven responds when God's people call upon Him. Through his example, I learned that prayer is not a ritual — it is a relationship with a living God who hears, answers, and transforms lives.

As I continued to study Scripture, I began to see something beautiful. The Bible was not a collection of stories from long ago. It was alive. God's Word spoke to everyday struggles, everyday decisions, and everyday people. I watched the Holy Spirit take what I was reading and make it personal. Scripture became more than information; it became an invitation to walk with God.

I also began to notice something that burdened my heart. Many people wanted to know God, but somewhere along the way they had been convinced that the Bible was difficult to understand or disconnected from real life. I couldn't accept that. The more I studied, the more I saw that God's Word is deeply practical, profoundly relevant, and able to meet people exactly where they are.

My desire has never been simply to teach the Bible. My desire is to help people see it, understand it, and live it — to take eternal truth and make it understandable without diminishing its depth.

LaToya Ferguson, Founder

To come alongside people not merely as a speaker, but as a sister in Christ — encouraging, listening, praying, and walking together toward Jesus.

The name Sweet Psalms was born from two simple loves that God used to tell a greater story. I have always enjoyed tea and sweet treats, reminders that fellowship often happens around a welcoming table. I have also loved the Psalms, especially the life of David — a man after God's own heart who experienced triumph, failure, worship, repentance, and unwavering dependence on God.

Then one quiet morning, the Lord whispered two words to my heart:

Sweet Psalms.

From that moment, I knew this ministry would be about more than events or programs. It would be a place where people encounter the sweetness of God's love, the honesty of His Word, the power of prayer, and the hope found in walking with Him every day.

That is the heart of Sweet Psalms Ministry. And every message we share leads us to one simple question:

How do I live this?

We believe God's truth never changes because God never changes.
